Without a doubt Menorca in May is beautiful, with the countryside full of wild flowers, the sensuous smell of the orange and lemon blossom and a cacophony of bird chatter. The island is pleasantly warm and sunny, the restaurants and beaches are quiet, making it the perfect time to visit and an island paradise for birdwatchers, walkers and mountain bikers.
June is a favourite month for many clients, especially those with small children, as the beaches are still quiet but the sea and swimming pools are warm. The island is still beautiful and green and with the longer evenings it is perfect for a stroll in the countryside, exploring the islands' historic sites, or just relaxing in a local bar while watching the sun set.
The early part of July is often overlooked by holidaymakers, but early July is fantastic. The island is very warm and sunny, the slightly more remote beaches are still quiet BUT the best thing is cheaper flights and lower cost accommodation so all the island benefits of high season at a lower cost.
Holidaymaker’s favourite month when the heat is up and the island is bustling with activity. Spend long evenings enjoying a BBQ with friends or a restaurant on the water’s edge.
The best month of the year, the island is still very warm and sunny, the swimming pools and the Mediterranean are lovely and warm and the crowds have all gone home. It’s a great time to explore the island, pick up some great bargains in the shops or just chill out on the beach.
If you wish to extend the summer and catch the last rays of sunshine before winter sets in then October is perfect. It is also a great opportunity to discover the beautiful and stunning coastal walks of the ‘Cami de Cavals’. The beaches are now deserted and yet the Mediterranean is still warm and lovely to swim in. The island is winding down and there is a wonderful relaxed feeling everywhere.
